No Haze, No Toning, this is a PERFECT Coin One Dollar 90% Silver Coin in Plastic Coin Holder Label Box and Blue Velvet, Satin-Lined Presentation Case (no COA) The only commemorative silver coin issued by the United States Mint in 2008 was the 2008 Bald Eagle Silver Dollar and it is highly collectable. This popular silver collectible had a limited mintage and this coin was struck at the United States Mint in Philadelphia. Regardless of the price of silver, this coin will most certainly cause value and price increases. Commemoration These commemorative coins were struck to celebrate the recovery and restoration of the American Bald Eagle, its importance as "the national symbol of the United States, to America’s lands, waterways, and skies" and to mark the 35th anniversary of the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Coin Design Shown on the obverse of each commemorative coin is a design by Joel Iskowitz that was sculpted by Don Everhart. It shows a soaring Bald Eagle along with the inscriptions of LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and 2008.
