NEW RELEASE - ISLE OF MAN 2011 UNCIRCULATED £1, 50P, 20p, 10p 5p, 2p & 1p COINS You are bidding on 7 bright new uncirculated 2011 coins from the Isle of Man. £1 - Tynwald Hill St John's Chapel The artificial hill is made up of four circular platforms. The base is about 80ft in diameter and from ground to top the mound is about 12ft high. The hill is believed to have been a meeting place for the Celtic midsummer assembly. Hence the Celtic cross representing the sun god, Lugh. 50P - Milner's Tower - Built in 1871 by public subscription on Bradda Head (Isle of Man) as a memorial to the benefactor of Port Erin who did much to help the village fishermen and the poor. William Milner was a famous safemaker from Liverpool and the unusual shape of the Tower represents a key. 20p - Castle Rushen Clock - (This clock presented by Queen Elizabeth I in 1597, while she held the island in trust pending a dispute, can be found in the clock room at Castle Rushen, formally used as the castle chapel .
