New 2013 1oz Silver Australian Kookaburra .999 Pure Silver Coin In Mint Capsule -Young Birds- Brand New And Brilliantly Uncirculated - Proof Like Considered the flagship coin series of the Perth Mint, silver Kookaburras were first introduced in 1990. Presently, the series has 23 coins in its collection, each with a unique image of the most famous bird in Australia on the obverse. The obverse design changes annually; one reason the silver coins are appealing to both investors and collectors. What’s even more interesting is that the reverse, which bears the image of Queen Elizabeth II, is set in a proof finish. The coins from 1990 to 1998 have the Queen Elizabeth sculpture of Raphael Maklouf, while the coins from 1999 to 2013 depict the sculpture of Ian Rank-Broadley. As .999 fine bullion silver, the 2013 1 oz Australian Silver Kookaburra is IRA eligible. A new Uncirculated coin in the mint capsule, shipped in a bubble wrap mailer. So !
