The 2014 W National Baseball Hall of Fame Gold coins were approved in the 112th congress and were stuck in the concave style for the first time in the history of the US Mint. This coin sold out within hours of beings introduced and has been moving up quickly in value ever since.There was a relatively limited mintage with 50,000 Gold $5 coins, 400K silver dollars, and 750,000 clad half dollars. Since the audience for this coin is both baseball memorabilia and coin collectors, it has been speculated this has caused cause a shortage of coins relative to the number of potential customers. This coin was a top pick in the book "Making Money with Modern Coins and Bullion", published in early 2013, and has not dissappointed. Good luck and thanks for looking!
