21" German Bisque Shoulder Head, Kid Body, Mohair Wig, Open Mouth Square Teeth21" Bisque Shoulder Head DollGood Kid Body, Bisque ArmsUnmarked, Set Eyes, Mohair WigOpen Mouth Square TeethEarly Kestner?Old Cotton Dress, Petticoat, & DrawersThis is an antique, 21 inch bisque shoulder head and kid body doll that is unmarked. I carefully loosened the leather from the back shoulder head, and she appears to be totally unmarked. I believe she is an early Kestner because of her face shape, dimpled double chin, her extra fine bisque, early square bisque teeth, and her exceptional face painting. Her mouth is delicately painted as are her nose and eye dots. She has painted eyelashes and black eyeliner. Her brows are nicely feathered and well painted. The bisque is of extra fine quality and is finely finished. Her brown mohair wig is old, and has been put up with braids in back. There are no cracks, chips, or hairlines to the head.Her dome I believe is plaster, and her eyes are encased in plaster which has come loose from the head. I have stuffed the head with cotton balls to hold the eyes in place for shipping. The dome has a circle cut away, and had an old piece of cloth stuffing the head when I got her. Her hands/lower arms are nicely formed and blushed. The left forefinger has a chip to the tip.The kid body is quite nice for one so old. The
