26" SANTOS Cage Doll Saint Mannequin - Unusual Whitewashed FinishBeautiful vintage wooden*reproduction Santos Cage Doll, approx. 26" tall with a 6" wide base.This whitewashed Santos cage doll is a natural beauty! She's faintly whitewashed, leaving a powdery coat that accentuates her natural wood grains and delicate carvings. Once upon a time found in Portugal and Spain, Santos cage dolls were used in Catholic religious processions —frequently dressed in elaborate gowns and crowns.The lady's shoulders, elbows & hands are jointed, providing her with limited (and/or perhaps asymmetrical) motion/postures.
