These are nice clear slides showing many pavilions, features, buildings, restaurants, etc at the exposition. The photographer did a good job taking the images. Great, clear shots. Some of the pavilions from the 1970 Expo I could identify are: Steel, Mitsubishi, Ontario, Kodak, Local Government, Ricoh, Chemical, IBM, Republic of China, Gabon, Korea, Astrorama, Burma, USA (interior - space program, cars, Babe Ruth uniform/locker) and exterior, State of Washington, Quebec, Indonesia, Expo Time clock, Automobile (with car ride outside of it), Rhythm Space, New Zealand, Czechoslovakia, Italy, Hapoaha, Hawaii, Chile, Hong Kong, Expo Hall, Argentina, Scandinavia, Mexico, Cuba, Malaysia, Kuwait/Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Expo Museum of the Arts, European Community, Belgium, Switzerland, Zambia, Uganda, Thailand, Ethiopia, Ireland, Cambodia, Iran/Pakistan/Turkey, Livelihood Industry, laterna magika, Suntory, Venezuela, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Bulgaria, Hitachi Group, Singapore, etc. Some of the other views: water & fountains, displays, walkways, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, flags & decorations, ice skaters, performers and dancers, sculptures, wildlife/birds, restaurants, art, bands, Howard Johnson's, St. Martin's restaurant, bar, views from the air, Munchen restaurant, Ferris Wheel, Fun House, robot, main auditorium with elephants (sign says Entering Parade), aerial cable car, etc. Most of the slides are in very good condition. SOME GREAT COLOR SLIDES DOCUMENTING EXPO '70 - OSAKA! Postage is $14.00. Because of the ease of copying slides, I cannot accept any returns on this lot. I finally got a slide scanner so I will be listing several groups of World's Fair slides over the next couple months. Most were taken by one man who attended most every World's Fair and expositions between those years. Snapshots of expos in the U.S., Canada, Japan, etc. I'll try to list more each couple of weeks. A couple years ago I purchased an enormous collection of World's Fair items from just about every World's Fair and Exposition from San Diego 1915 through Japan 2005. It seems like the man visited just about every fair and expo from 1964 through 2005 all over the world - Canada, Japan, Portugal, Spain, South Korea, Australia, the U.S. and other countries. I'm still going through the 40+ containers which contain souvenirs, photos, slides (He took lots of photographs and slides of these expositions), books, publications, etc. The man was also an editor for a book publisher in New York City and he received many press kits on some of these fairs. These press kits contained press releases and photos and weren't available to the general public. If you are looking for a particular world's fair or exposition, let me know and I'll list them.
