This auction is for 2 Opinel knives in size 12. These two knives are in excellent used condition. No wobbles and no corrosion. They were purchased around 2008. For those of you not familiar with the Opinel Knife Company it is French and makes this unique style of knife in a wide range of sizes. They each have a single X90 carbon steel blade, large Beechwood handle and rotating stainless steel safety lock on the pivot hinge. The smaller Opinel knives (below #6) do not have these locks.No. 12 is a very large folding knife that cannot be considered a pocket knife. Opinel says it is quite possibly the greatest camping knife on the market for the last 120 years. The Opinel No. 12 is incredibly durable and weighs just 4 oz. The wood handle does not transfer heat or cold to the hand. Note: This is a big knife; please review your local laws and ordinances while making your buying decision. The No. 12 is more like a thin bladed hunting knife that folds than it is a pocket knife. The large size of the wood handle makes it very comfortable to use. Many people have found that its large size makes it a perfect every day kitchen knife that can be folded and stored in a drawer.
