Measures 6 x 8" Fred "Killer" Burke (May 29, 1893 – July 10, 1940) was a Midwestern armed robber and contract killer responsible for many crimes during the Prohibition era. He is considered a prime suspect in the infamous St. Valentine's Day Massacre of 1929. This is part of a collection from a former employee of the UPI in Tribune Towers before this collection was moved to New York. Look for many more great images covering many different topics.
