3.5" gauge GWR Collett 4000 gallon tender A superb piece of top quality model engineering, this Great Western Collett tender would correctly accompany any of the GW 4-6-0 locomotives - King, Castle, Hall, Grange, 47xx. Mostly crafted in brass, the body has a batallion of precision placed brass rivets. The running plate (also brass) has had all of the rivet holes drilled. The chassis has sprung axleboxes, finescale iron wheels, sprung buffers, screw-link coupling, working brake gear etc. Could be suitable for an electric or live-steam loco, but there is no water tank or plumbing. Some items have yet to be made up, but these are insignificant in relation to the hours of work which have already been lovingly bestowed. In my possession for a good few years, and now time for a new owner, since I know now I shall never realise a complete 3.5" loco. A really great buy at a price which nowhere near reflects the hours of painstaking labour which has been lavished. Heavy, weighing in at about 10 kg. Further photos can be made available on request.
