This auction is for all 62 pieces which includes the flatware chest. You can find this pattern called Sterling Rose in the identification and value guide American sterling flatware, by Maryanne Dolan on page 206. Also can be found in Warmans sterling silver flatware, value and identification guide by Mark F. Moran on page 337. Using the prices based inside the book this wonderful sterling silver 62 piece set list for over $2592.00. We have priced the reserve on this set to be less than half of that price. The Warman's book says that the sterling rose pattern was made by Wallace in 1955. The american sterling silver book says it was made by Watson in 1935. As most experts know Watson was bought out by Wallace silversmiths in 1955. This fabulous set consists of 10 dinner forks----11 salad forks----12 dinner knives----12 soup spoons----12 teaspoons----2 tablespoons----2 butter spreaders----and 1 flatware chest= 62 total pieces. We have not taken the time to polish this very unique set but have individually inspected each piece and found no damage, pit marks or any significent flaws.
