63+ Souvenir & Collector Spoons including Sterling Silver and GISH Pewter This is an assortment of 63+ souvenir and collector spoons taken from my own personal collection that I have been selling off for going on three years now. I say 63+ because I have included four mini spoons (including one mini spoon/fork set) and because they are not full size, I counted two mini pieces as one regular sized piece; t are actually 65 separate pieces. T are a wonderful variety of pieces in this lot including three Sterling silver, three pewter including two GISH crafted, two Mexican Alpaca silver (one with jade finial), some silver-plated, EPNS (electroplated nickel-silver) and other metals. T are spoons from Canada, the United States, Taiwan, Scotland, Jerusalem, Holland, Bahamas, England, Germany, France, Curacao and Finland. T is a very nice assortment of styles including 3D finials, fancy stems, assorted bowl shapes and designs including round, scalloped and etched along with several vintage bubble crests. T are too many to list individually but the following are some of the highlights of the lot. The sterling spoons are all from Canada and include a vintage piece commemorating the 1971 British Columbia Centennial in Canada, one that has an etched Coat of Arms finial from Quebec (etched in the bowl) and one that has a lovely etched leaf design on the finial and stem from Bracebridge, Ontario (etched in bowl). All of these pieces are marked Sterling. T are two styles of Mexican silver spoons including one that has a round etched bowl and carved jade finial; the stem reads "Pto. Vallarta" (Pto = Puerto). The other spoon has a round etched finial and narrow bowl with "Cancun" etched down the stem. The two GISH crafted pewter spoons are from San Juan Capistrano and the state of Maryland. The third pewter spoon is from Kentucky with 3D horseracing finial. T is one straight-stem gold-tone spoon with a colorful enamel bowl from Taiwan. One spoon commemorates the visit of Pope John Paul II to Canada in 1984 with a bubble crest in the bowl and praying hands finial. T is a spoon from Disneyland with a bright enamel picture of Mickey Mouse in the bowl and an etched finial of the Disney Castle. The black enamel on Mickey's ears has a chip out of it, but this can easily be touched up with black enamel paint. T is a vintage spoon from the Hoover Dam with heavy etched finial. This spoon was made of two parts with the bowl being inserted into the stem; the bowl is slightly loose but still fully intact and it displays nicely. T is one Klepa Arts style spoon made in Czechoslovakia with an enamel finial of the Northwest Territories in Canada and "Yellowknife" etched into the bowl. T are eight gold-tone spoons from a set of provincial spoons of Canada made by the International Silver Company; British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and one reading Canada. The mini pieces include the spoon and fork set from Ruby Falls at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, one from Missouri and one from Cedar Point Amusement Park in Ohio. A few other highlights include "The Courage Highway" from Nipigon, Ontario with a vintage Terry Fox (original run for cancer) bubble crest, one from the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, one U.S. Bi-Centennial, one from the Miami SeaQuarium with 3D finial and one commemorating Expo '74 in Spokane, Washington. All of the pieces in this lot are in terrific condition however a few may need light cleaning as they have been packed away for some time now. Several do show a little wear to the finish in the bowls (some light pocking) but this is common and they will clean up nicely. I have included pictures that show each and every spoon in the lot but the pictures do not do them justice. This lot could be the perfect assortment to start your own collection or may make a very fine addition to an existing one. Please feel free to contact me for more pictures or to ask any questions you might have, as...
