SIX PIECES FOR ONE PRICEBELL TONE LEAD CRYSTALBLOWN CUT GLASS WINE GLASSESAPPLIED CUT STEM RING SHARP PONTIL19th CENTURYI SHIP WORLDWIDE Being offered in this sale is a set of six, brilliant, clear cut flint glass wine glasses that I would say date to the 19th century. I am calling these wine glasses, however, they may have been made for another beverage. I believe that these are American glass as opposed to English glass or French glass as they all have very sharp unpolished pontils which you don't generally find on British and French pieces of that areas. You would normally expect to find them ground smooth and polished. They measures 5 1/2" tall and are 2 7/8" in diameter across the base. The lower part of the bowl / stem is cut with nine vertical fluted panels. T is an applied ring of glass around the bottom of the tapered bowl which is also cut. In addition, the applied foot is cut with nine short fluted panels. The glass is fairly heavy for its size and rings like a bell when you tap it. The condition of all six of these glasses is MINT. T are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or evidence of grinding on any of them. Please feel free to email with any questions. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. The last seven images illustrate a number of other pieces that I am listing separately on Ebay. You are read more
