This classic brass, nickel plated 1970 Gillette 1-9 Super Adjustable, shorter handle version razor you are viewing was taken through a four part restoration process, which included a thorough cleaning and polishing, along with lubrication when and where needed. In the end the unit was completely sanitized, made ready for more decades of the fantastic shaves that only these vintage razors can deliver. The razor you are viewing is in perfect working condition. The doors open and close smoothly, as well as tighten down evenly and securely. The 1-9 adjustments, which determine blade exposure and thus the aggressiveness of your shave, work as they did when new. As to the cosmetics, the unit is in excellent condition with only minor flaws/signs of use. These involve some fading out of the black lettering that fills the grooves of the 1-9 adjustables, a bit of wear to the black knurled handle, and a light scratch here and there. See photos.
