ABP American Brilliant Cut Glass Low Bowl. I believe this is the Cluster pattern attributed to O.F. Egginton Co. Bowl measures 8" from rim to rim across center and is 2 1/4" tall on sides. Scalloped sawtooth rim, center has a six point strawberry diamond hobstar, surrounded by six hobstars, with six more hobstars on rim with nailhead diamonds between. Many glass houses of the Brilliant Period had similar patterns to this one. A similar bowl diagram is pictured in Volume I of the Encyclopedia of American Cut and Engraved Glass by J. Michael Pearson on page 129 and is attributed to Egginton. See last photo. Bowl is in very good condition with a few small chips to teeth, and one that looks like it may have been smoothed (see photo 11). But nothing that detracts from the beauty of the bowl. As always with ABP cut glass, magnification may reveal nicks in pattern that are not visible to the naked eye. Please see pictures for detail work and condition as they are a part of the description.
