Three-car set ofAce Trains tinplate O gauge tank cars Ace Trains is a British company that manufactures tinplate O gauge trains that reproductions or close copies of prewar-era British Hornby O gauge trains and similar makes. These three tank cars are set no. 2 of a tank-car series and were manufactured in the early 2000s. The cars are all-metal construction with lithographed artwork and a clear coating. They are in nearly new condition, and have only been operated on a layout for a test run. They were on display on a shelf before I moved 5 years ago, and have been in their box since then. Sale includes original box and packaging as shown in photo. The cars have metal European-style hook and loop couplers. These couplers are not compatible with Lionel and similar couplers, either modern or prewar. You’ll have to fashion your own coupler adopters if you want a Lionel or similar U.S. train to pull these cars. The cars have 4-wheel cars with spoke, all-metal wheels. They are designed to operate on three-rail track, although I believe the wheel contour will allow the cars to run on 2-rail O scale track. Seller is a TCA member. High bidder must pay through Pay Pal within 48 hours after auction closes; will ship within two business days after Pay Pal payment is posted. $10.95 shipping charge U.S. Postal Service flat rate medium box
