Adrian Italian M16 Steel Helmet World War I w/ Insignia Italy entered WW1 without a national helmet. Like many other countries Italy adopted the French Adrian M15. Only since April 1916 Italians started to produce their own variant of the Adrian helmet. This is one of the Italian produced M16 Adrians. This one has barely kept the original green color, some small parts of liner and a small piece of chinstrap. Helmets like this have been used in the years among the two world wars. All in all it is a nice piece of history almost 100 years old. This helmet also has an insignia in the front. The insignia is from "Servizi Transporti a Traino Animale". This division was in charge of transporting artillery and equipment via use of horses.
