MARKED VERMILLION CO. 5" LONG, 1 3/4" THICK, VERY GOOD HARDSTONE LATE DORMAN MEADE FROM DANVILLE, ILLINOIS COLLECTED OVER 54 YEARS.MOST ALL OF THE ARTIFACT ARE OF MUSEUM QUALITY LATE DORMAN MEADE WAS A EMPLOYEE OF THE ILLINOIS POWER CO. ILLINOIS. LINEMAN TO PUTTING UP POWER POLES WHICH HAS DEEP HOLES.AREA W, LATE DORMAN MEADE FOUND THE ARTIFACTS IS CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND INDIANA IN FRESHLY PLOWED FIELDS AND BY THE RIVERS.The Vermilion River is tributary of the Wabash River located in the State of Illinois.T are two �Vermilion Rivers� in Illinois. The Wabash tributary flows south while the other Vermilion River flows north to the Illinois River.
