Made by the artist who uses the AE in a heart mark, those of you that have had the luck of owning a piece by this artist know just how exceptional her jewelry is. It has been documented that this artisan worked with Estela Popowski and Rancho Alegre according to Hougart's book on Mexican marks. And this piece is signed with the same Eagle stamp (23) that Popowski used! This pin is vintage, circa 1955, and is in the form of a leaf in a very Modernist style. The front of the pin is applied separately above a purposefully darkened ground so that the pin curves inward from the edges to make it very dimensional. A twining stem tops it off.
