A TALL SENUFO RHYTHM POUNDER "POMBIBELE" STATUE FROM THE IVORY COAST Pombibele statues are among the most famous of all African sculpture. Also called âeoerhythm pounders,âe the Senufo engaged these monumental figures during agricultural ceremonies and at the funeral of an honored member of the Poro society.
