Aircrewman's Gunnery. Issued by Aviation Training Unit, U.S. Navy, 1944. Leatherette covers, corners curled. This consists of three sections: 1. Guns, 110 pages. The .50 caliber Browning Machine Gun, M2. How to operate, field stripping, safety rules, adjustments, care and cleaning, ammunition. Also the .45 automatic pistol and the .30 Browning Machine Gun. 2. Sighting and Sights. Position firing, strafing, tracers, sighting. MK 18 gun sight. 3. Turrets. The different types of turrets, hot to get in and out, operation. Lots of photos. This has been used, some underlining and some notations. The manual would have been used for training of gunners in single engine dive bombers and torpedo planes, 4 engine planes such as PBYs or patrol bombers. Great item for any WWII aviation or Navy collection. I tried to list this with the cover title but eBay says I used that dreaded word that would reveal dark secrets about our military capacity so I could not use that word to describe this training book....Shipping weight over 2 pounds. Sorry, will not ship overseas but only to Canada.
