WOW, THIS MAY BE A CHANCE IN A LIFETIME TO OWN A PRICELESS PIECE OF EARLY GANGSTER, PROHIBITION ERA MEMORABILIA. Up for bid is a "St. Valentine's Day Massacre Brick" from the building where the massacre occured back on Feb 14th, 1929. Brick is adorned with a brass plaque which reads "St. Valentine's Day Massacre - Chicago - 1929 - Cuyahoga Wrecking Corp. February 14th, 1986." It was back on this date that Al Capone's minions were thought to dress as Chicago police officers, enter the hideout of the rival "Bugs" Moran gang members at 2122 N. Clark St. in Chicago, IL and brutely massacred 8 people. It was from them on that this date was infamously known as the "St. Valentine's Day Massacre." The building was ordered demolished by then major Richard J. Daley to thwart tourists and also in a failed attempt for the infamous history to be erased from the history books. Unbeknownst to him the wrecking companies realized the money to be made and carted away a small amount of these bricks for sale. These genuine bricks have almost all been gone or lost and the whereabouts of the remaining bricks are sketchy at best.. This brick was recently acquired at an estate sale and has a Brickmaker logo "Tuttle" molded on the rear.
