There is no writing in the book and there are no missing pages, the binding is tight, te cover has moderate soiling, the corners and lower spine edge are rubbed througg the cloth, and the text pages have age-toned with tape remnant on the paste downs. A reproduction dust jacket is included.This was the LAST "Big Book" in terms of size, with wartime printing downsizing beginning with the 6th printing.The Big Book got its nickname from its size. It was printed on thick paper and had wide margins. This was an attempt by Bill W to give the impression the purchaser was getiing something for the price $4.50, which was very high in 1939.This is the 4th printing of the AA Big Book.
