According to family tradition, a member of the 85th generation of the House of David. He passed away on 2 Nissan 1901.He was known for his important book Yashir Moshe, which is a commentary on Shir Hashirim. At the beginning of the book Rabbi Moshe traces the lineage of the Dayan family back to King David. Rabbi Yosef, son of Rabbi Yitzchak Shrem An eminant scholar and Rabbi of Aram Soba and Jerusalem.
