Amazing elaborate Amati wooden ship model new in box. The box was opened for inspection but otherwise is as new with all pieces, blueprints and instructions. This model is no longer offered by the manufacturer but the original product specs are as follows:Scale 1:55 Length: 470mmThis highly detailed model represents a gunboat galley of the American navy, used during the victorious battle of Lake Champlain in 1814, against the British fleet.These vessels were very agile and well armed, utilising both cannon and carronades. They were a very important contributory factor in the war of US independence.The kit includes all of the usual very high standard Amati parts; Pre-cut keel and frames - construction is double plank-on-frames for easy assembly, Wooden and metal fittings - masts & yards are walnut; cannon and carronade are solid brass,Sail cloth, Launch slip to display the model, Detailed plans and step-by-step instructions.
