Welcome to my auction! I have about 75 pieces of beautiful Carnival Glass. Please check my other listings for items you might like! This auction is for a Green Carnival Glass Plate. This is the "Holly" pattern made by the Fenton Art Glass Company in 1911. It is unmarked. You can reference this pattern in the Standard Encyclopedia of Carnival Glass, 9th Edition on page 135. It is still raining today, so I had to take pictures inside, but I did manage to stick the Plate out the door for one photo in natural light. This is a stunning Plate, measuring 9 3/4" in diameter with the famous Fenton scalloped edge. The colors really stand out, even in gloomy rain. For the inside pictures, I used a flourescent light. As you can see, the colors are very bright and vibrant. The black in the center is just a reflection - this is gorgeous! Along the edges it has little pinpoints and rub spots of wear. I always think those occur from people holding the Plate to admire it over the last 90+ years. Those are in the finish only, not the glass. The base has about 3 teeny nicks, and a small white spot. It must be an internal bruise, I don't feel anything. If you need more pictures - please let me know. No other chips, cracks or repairs. Check out my other items !
