This is an absolutely eye-catching "Gone With The Wind" hurricane lamp. The lamp is marked on the bottom: GIM 3083 1967. I have seen similar lamps listed on Ebay that identify this as a lamp b Quoizel or Fenton. Hand painted, it is a rich and vibrant purple/lilac opalescent color enhanced with dark pink roses and purple and yellow pansies (?); the white dots on these flowers are raised. The brass around the base of the shade and the bottom of lamp is detailed and ornate, and in excellent condition. This is a brass key style switch.The lamp is a 3-way lamp where either the top, bottom, or both light up.It measures approx 20" tall and the top globe measures 9 1/2" at widest part. With the glass chimney, it measures over 22" tall. Clear glass chimney measures 12" high and approx 3" diameter at bottom, 1 3/4" at top opening.It is in perfect working order.The lamp is in beautiful condition; no chips, cracks, breaks.Please ask any questions as you can tell I am not an expert in this area.
