i Good Luck! Ambrotype Pretty Young Woman; Girl Littlefield, Parsons Co. "Union Case" This old Ambrotype was found along with some others in my late uncle's estate. Please see my other auctions for more like this, and watch for more as I find them and offer them to you with no reserve! The Littlefield, Parsons & Co . case is black and in very good condition with no chips etc. This case looks like bakelite to me. The hinges and closing mechanism are excellent. The wine color pad is soft and supple. The image is of a pretty young girl wearing a sweater. Her cheeks appear to have a light peach color tint. Image is also excellent with no issues. The pictures show my reflection which looks like a stain on the right side, but be assured the image is fine, my camera work isn't! The foil is in excellent condition and it's stunning! It has a very patriotic Civil War theme with Cannon and Ramrod at each lower corner and Eagles waving Union Flags at the top corners. T is also a Sword and a Drum on each side. I collect coins and this case reminds me of the beautiful gold coin designs of the era. The case measures 2 1/2 inches wide by 3 inches tall Winning Bidder will be contacted via email after auction ends.
