A unique ambrotype of 2 young ladies on horseback taken from above and you are looking down on them. The are dressed in full skirted pompommed riding habits.Look at the rows of buttons and long skirts. I find the viewpoint AND the subject rather unusual. Purchased from Swann Galleries many years ago. This is a half-plate and as you can see the case has fallen apart, in a scalloped mat. From the 1850s. Read my feedback.
