American Brilliant Period Cut Glass Bell This exceptional quality dinner bell was made during the first part of the 20th century. It is from a Chicago collection of ABP cut glass whose owner was a member of the American Cut Glass Association. The description reads: "The bell body has deeply carved flowers and leaves around it. The "Floral Period" of the ABP was circa 1910-1918. The Harvard pattern is cut around the shoulder (geometric). The handle is cut in flute with St. Louis cut finial. The pattern is believed to be "Flower and Harvard" by Paul Richter Co. of Maywood, IL using a Libbey blank. The original 2 part metal ball clapper is connected to the metal chain with twisted wire loop that is embedded in the handle with ends spread to form a horizontal attachment. The total height is 6 1/4" high with a 3 1/4" diameter and weighs 11 ounces, circa 1914." The bell is in excellent condition with no chips, flakes or cracks. It comes from a smoke free home. A TOP QUALITY PIECE FROM THE EARLY PART OF THE 20TH CENTURY
