Up for auction today is a nice looking, nice running #565 American Flyer 3/16th inch O gauge Atlantic type locomotive and its accompanying tender plus five additional cars. The engine runs great. The reverse unit was rebuilt with new fingers, and the drum was cleaned, polished and adjusted. It runs smoothly, changes direction easily and does not miss a shift. The wheels are in excellent condition with no metal fatigue. The engine has a bright operating headlight and the drive train and valve gear are clean and bright with no rust or damage. The engine grades C-7. The offering also includes the following cars: The American Flyer #565 Atlantic type tender. It has two centrail rail pick-ups and heavy interior weight. The paint is original and it has the Reading Railroad logo. The car is in good condition and grades C-6. The American Flyer #480 Shell tank car. This car has no rust and all of the chrome is clean. It shows some minor paint rubs and grades C-5. The American Flyer #478 American Flyer white sheet metal boxcar with red trim. T is no rust and only minor playwear. It grades C-6.
