American Flyer A.C. Gilbert S Gauge Lehigh New England Hopper Car No. 632 w/ brass coupler weights You're bidding on an American Flyer A.C. Gilbert No. 632 Lehigh New England Hopper car, in gray plastic w/white letters.The couplers have brass weights. Auction includes original AF box. Catalog number is handwritten, not stamped. Manufactured 1946-53. While the car is a bit dusty and could use a cleaning, it has no breaks or repairs and the corners are still crisp, not much wear at all. The logos and lettering are clear. Please look closely and ask any questions before bidding. If you can't see a detail clearly from the posted images I can provide higher res. images by email upon reasonable request. This is part of what was my dad's collection of "S" scale trains. He collected it through the 1970's and admired others' setups but never managed to put together one of his own. To my knowledge it's all been in storage since the late 1970's. He collected trains (engines and rolling stock--maybe 100 in all) and accessories-at least 100 pieces, AF, plasticville and bachmann. I'll be selling all of it in no particular order over the fall (I said a few weeks when I started in July, but I think I can stay with it now!).
