Up for auction is a n AMERICAN FLY ER S gauge # 21158 blue 0-6-0T "Docksider" steam locomotive . As a kid I remember Al lied H obbies here in the Ph illy area had this locomoti ve on sale f or something like $5.99 and I wanted one. My dad said no since it was both blue and a really poor model of the B & O's "docksider" and besides, I already had one in HO scale from Varney. Anyway, looking at this one remi nds me my father was right. As may be seen in the photos, the right front portion of the p ilot is broken off as you will noti ce in the second and particularly the third photo. The balance of the blue plastic shell is fine with the exc eption of the left rear corner of the cab that may be see n si xth photo, where you will se e it took some sort of hit. The rear coupler was broken off so I rep laced it with an after market coupler that is close to the original and works but is not correct. In testing I found the loco runs well in forward, the only direction availa ble on th ese little gems. While not perfect it is a decent runner and fine paperweight.
