Hardenbergh (1915- 1999) O/C Impressionist Estate Cottage Painting Description : Anne Laverne Power Hardenbergh (1915-1999) oil painting on canvas of a cottage estate. It is signed " A.P.H" in the lower left hand corner. The cottage in a pink rustic color with a teal green roof. You can see the wood framed windows distinguished by the white trim. On the right side of the house you can see a wooden post fence and a small portion of a barn. A wonderfully done scene from what I presume is a New England Country Estate. It is guaranteed for life as represented listed artist. Anne Laverne Power Hardenbergh was born in Hollywood, CA on August 26, 1915. Anne was the sister of movie star Tyrone Power. She studied painting with John Hubbard Rich, Aloys Bohnen, and John Garth. In the 1930s she married Peter Hardenbergh, a career Army officer. While a resident of Mill Valley in 1940-42, Mrs. Hardenbergh had a studio in an old barn. After her divorce, she had a studio in the artist colony in Rockport, MA where she taught painting.
