1 Rare Amperex (Holland) 5AR4 GZ34 Vacuum Tube Tested 1 made in Holland Aperex (Dynaco Label) 5AR4 GZ34 Vacuum Rectifier tube. I've seen this one mentioned in the guitar blogs.This tube has the Dynaco label and the paint will come off in true Amperex fashion. These NOS tubes causes a lot of controversy on the amp blogs. On one side of the fence you have those that say a rectifier tube doesn't add anything to the tone of an amp. On the other side you hear glowing recommendations that when they changed out their Chinese or Soviet 5AR4 for one of these Amperex GZ34's. With this tester we feel that we can be even more transparent in the quality the tubes we offer. This tester was recently cleaned and calibrated. To verify this calibration we have included a photo essay showing our calibration validation test. This test was performed on July 24th 2009 using a 6L6 Hickok 5000gm Calibration Tube as a reference point.
