ANDREAS DAUBAntique Victorian Art NouveauRolled Gold & Sapphire Collierc1900, 6.6 g Beautiful and very elegant collier i.e. necklace,probably dating from approximately 1900.This has a lovely design, with a “double” pendant forming the central decoration, framed by slender, curved wing elements on each side.The smaller, circular pendant has a pierced diamond motif running through the centre, the larger octagonal one features a garland of tiny hearts - both are set with sparkling sapphires of a vibrant, cornflower blue colour.Delicate chains with tiny prisms dangle on each side, completing this lovely design.A gorgeous piece of Art Nouveau jewellerywith a comfortable and very flattering fit.Excellently crafted and detailed work - it would be awonderful gift and a fine addition to a collection!Size (including dangles): 41.5 x 5.5 cm (16.34 x 2.17 inches)The gemstones have a diameter of 0.2 cm (0.08 inches)smallest and 0.3 cm (0.12 inches) largest.Weight: 6.6 g (0.233 oz)Hallmarked on chain: maker’s maker A*D (Andreas Daub,founded 1882 in Pforzheim, Germany)Composition: rolled rose gold i.e. rose gold plate on a gold metal baseCondition: this is in very good, ready to wear condition,with only the slightest signs of use, commensurate with age.Very,
