Here we have a large, beautiful antique ca. 1880 wood wall clock. I bought this at an Antique shop in Germany in 2008. It is a beautiful dark old wood, there is a lions head and spindles on the top, a see- thru glass circle on the front and two rectangular glass see-thru sides, all original glass still intact, the decorative pendulum is of a bulldog in a nightcap and pj's at the table smoking a pipe with a cup of tea. It works! It has a proud german gong, and comes with the winding tool to wind the clock and gong. I believe it stays wound for about a week or so before needing to wind it again. The only issue with it is that this is not the right pendulum, after fidgeting with the screw on the pendulum, trying to get the clock to keep the correct time I realized someone replaced the original with this adorable dog one, but it is not the right one, so the clock does not keep the right time with it. All the clocks inner parts are perfectly fine and functioning, there is no damage or broken parts at all. It simply needs a correct pendulum. I did not bother running the clock, my husband doesn't like clocks that gong so I never got a new pendulum for it- but of course whoever buys it if they want to run it and keep the right time will need to take it to a clock shop and have them set it up with a correct pendulum, or perhaps modifying read more
