For sale is this fantastic view of St. Louis Cityscape scene with a great water view as well, I can imagine what it was like to live in a well kept City like this doing this period of time, with horses and carriage and all of the great building. This print is dated 1854 and has some hand coloring thru out the print. This print was more likely to have been displayed in a county building or city hall building, high lighting the splendor of the city and it success. There is various land marks listed below and it is noted to have belonged to (formerly owned by Louis A. La Beaume). I did a Google search on Louis A. La Beaume and found some interesting information and facts pertaining to him and his history. And the yellowing that you see over the image is varnish that has age. Condition: very good with darken varnish, five small nail holds on the edge and a thicker patch of varnish at the upper right edge and on the bottom right edge there is some silicon glue, this is a easy restoration for the right collector and a very rare piece to own.
