This Hassam Bros. of Boston 1860's Bowie knife is highly collectible. This Clip point Blade is 7.5 inches with a handle of 4.5 inches. The "S" curve hilt is steel with German nickel silver bolster and pommel and has a stag horn handle. This knife is original and with no known cleaning or work done on the blade or handle. Has been appraised and verified as authentic in 2008 by Bernard Levine and associates.This knife has no sheath or scabbard, but is still highly collectible and would be a very nice addition to any collection.
