Inspired by the Great Gatsby, these dangle earrings showcase very rare glass faceted hoops from the Art Deco period (circa 1920's - 1930's). These delicate hoops have pierced Art Deco style brass connectors that hug the hoops from the top and bottom to dangle glass rose cut Crimson glass beads. The modern people of the Art Deco period strived to contrast that of the previous Art Nouveau, Edwardian, and Victorian eras. Taking a page from the modern/Japanese influenced Arts and Crafts Movement, Deco design kept to straight geometric, angular and masculine lines echoed in these contemporary hoops as they taper to the bottom of the hoop (similar to the battered walls/columns seen in architecture of the time). Due to the antiquity of these pieces, special care is emphasized by suggesting that these lay on a jewelry cloth or soft lining for storage to avoid the hoops from breaking against each other. These earrings hang approximately 2 1/2 inches, a gorgeous set certain to strike up a great story!Perfect for any season, to wear into the office, a dressy occasion, or a night on the town! Own a piece of history, and pass it down as a family heirloom, these earrings are sure to be an eye-catcher.Each piece is unique & crafted with true artistry. I very much enjoy both the "picking process" (the hunt) to research & find the right pieces to read more
