ANTIQUE 19th c ORIGINAL LOUIS LEOPOLD BOILLY FRENCH HAND COLORED LITHOGRAPH This listing is for a, very rare, 19th Century Hand Colored French Lithograph. It is just one of a few important original lithographs, engravings and etchings that I purchased from a local estate. They were all cataloged and some research was already done on them. I will be listing more great prints over the next few days! Artist: Louis Leopold Boilly b.1764 - d. 1845Lithographer: Delpech Titled: Rejoussances Publiques Lithograph, Hand Colored, Louis Leo Boilly, Rejouissances Publique. Condition: Good. Colors bright, with some browning from age. Size: Picture is 9 7/8” by 13 5/8”. Mat is 16” by 20”. Comment: A beautiful, antique original hand colored lithograph done by Louis Leopold Boilly and dated 1826. This lithograph is Plate #69 from Boilly’s “Recueil de grimaces” (collection of grimaces), series of 95 lithographs that were published between 1823 and 1828. The lithographer was Delpech (see photo). It reads below the print “L. Boilly 1826, “lith. de Delpech”, “Rejoussances Public”, “Retour des distribution” (see photo). This original print was purchased from an estate with very fine, original, antiques and art.
