Antique 19thC FIRKIN SALMON PAINT ORIGINAL AAFA Primitive/ Pantry Box/ Bucket Description19th century New England firkin in original dry salmon paint. Four fingers all pointing from left-to-right secured with iron nails. Expected wear including cracked and loose top board and the handle does not raise all the way due to added nails in the lid's band (see pics 12-15) which certainly could be remedied. One of the handle pegs was replaced at some point with an earlier whittled one (see pic 6). Excellent example in TRUE Salmon paint.
