Antique Early 19thc Pre Parian Bisque Biscuit portrait medallion of French King Louis Philippe Possibly SEVRES. Super portrait medallion of French King Louis Philippe (1773-1850) (reign Aug 1830- Feb 1848) The medallion itself measures 3.5 inches long x 2.25 inches wide. The gilded Gesso glazed frame measures 8.75 inches x 8.25 inches. The portrait medallion is attached to a green velvet background. The medallion has not been out of the frame so I don’t know if there are any manufacturers’ marks Lovely quality medallion with fine crisp detail. The condition of the portrait medallion is very good; the frame has some wear commensurate with the age. The photos do form part of the description. A super rarely seen biscuit/ bisque portrait profile of Louis Philippe it displays very well indeed. I will ship worldwide. Overseas buyers Pay pal only please. ~~~~~~~
