For your consideration is this nice large 5 Gallon Glass Absopure Distilled Water Jug out of Detroit MI. I recently acquired this from the estate of a historic Michigan home near the Detroit area. Absopure first started in Detroit in 1908 producing distilled water. This house was filled with very old and unique MI antiques. This 5 gallon glass jug comes with its cork still in it exactly as I found it(minus a little dust and dirt since I cleaned it). This jug is marked on the front " Absopure trademarked USA Distilled Water "It's Pure" USP Absopure water company Detroit, Michigan. The bottom of the jug has a nice cracked look to it and is marked 5225 with the letter I in a diamond and circle with 55 to the right of it. It has a lot of cool graphics with all of this combined and a few stars on the front as well. I cannot say its exact age but the house that it came from was over 100 years old and only had antique items in it. The jug is in nice condition with no serious issue(no chips or cracks) it does have some light crazing in the glass on the bottom but does not affect the jug holding fluid it is still sealed tight. There is some minor wear to the outside as well from age and storage. This is an awesome old 5 Gallon Jug with a lot of history behind it.
