Antique / Ancient Indo Persian Jambia Jambiya Fighting Knife/ Guard / Tradesman. Marked Empereur Marseille on the blade. Empereur (meaning Emperor ) (Marseille a port city in France) Marseille, has been a crossroads of immigration and trade since its founding by the Greeks circa 600 B.C. The knife came along with some Byzantine church items . This appears to be an extremely old maritime knife carried by Guard/Tradesmen.Overall length 16" 1/8 blade 9" Hand made and hammered brass and appears to be a few adornments that are silver. The handle is wood. The blade is in excellent condition and overall so is the rest of the knife. Photos are part of the description.
