Antique Art Deco Frankart Dog Retriever Bookends NR NO RESERVE For your consideration is a classic set of Frankart deco golden retriever bookends. These bookends are true jewels. They are rather large for bookends and the metal is lovely, perfect for a golden retriever actually. They have the classic Frankart base, true deco 20's deco art - and these are all original. This is w they get a bit cooler. At the time that this particular set was manufactured Frankart had not secured the patent. Stamped on each bookend is "FRANKART INC. PATT APPLD FOR" (Pictured) This is as early an example as you can find of this set of bookends. T should have been only a handful of these made during the pattent acquisition period for this particular piece. T is no reserve on this auction and a very modest start price for the rarity of the pieces. The pieces are around 6 inches in height, 7 inches in width, and 3.25 inches in depth. These are very sturdy pieces and the craftsmanship is superb. They are both in very nice condition, as clean as you will find for bookends made in this era. This should be very visible in the pictures. I have a number of other bronzes, bookends, collectibles and antiques on eBay right now and will gladly discount shipping on multiple purchases.
