ANTIQUE ASIAN BRASS or BRONZE BUDDHA SILVERWARE & SERVING PIECES Up for bidding is this nice set of brass or bronze Buddha silverware and serving pieces from Thailand . These items were obtained at an estate auction. I am not sure of the type of metal. I think it is either brass or bronze. T are 8 - knives , 8 - forks , 8 - spoons , a carving knife & fork and a large serving spoon and large serving fork . The knives measure approximately 8" long ; the forks measure approximately 7 3/4" long ; the spoons measure approximately 5 3/4" long ; The carving knife is approximately 10 1/2" long and the carving fork is approximately 9 1/2" long ; the large serving spoon is approximately 9" long and the serving fork is approximately 9" long . Each of these pieces has a black handle with the end being either brass or bronze and having a Buddha on it. At the metal part of the end of the handle with the Buddha it reads: U. THAILAND . These items are in the original box , but the box is in pretty bad shape. It has tape on it, cracks and and dents but the hinges, handle and latches are in good working order. The inside of the box is a orange velvet type material and is in fair condition with some of the holders loose. Inside the box on the upper left corner is a ribbon with the printing: U.
