A beautiful black pyramid Bakelite GPO telephone Model number 162 With original braded cord to handset This is made by Siemens and is the rare model having the black metal dial and metal base plate Standing on four rubber feet The phone has been professionally converted to work on the modern BT system giving very clear reception Very smooth rotating dial No internal bell To the handset is the oval impressed mark which reads.. 'Siemens Brothers & Company Ltd London' To the metal base are the marks 'GPO' & the numbers '830/834' & '162' Siemens black and gold sticker to base & 'British patents no. registered design applied for' Please be aware this is an antique item andhas wear and tear commensurate with age.
