A LOVELY OLD TRANSFERWARE TEAPOT BY Whittaker & Company of Hanley, Staffordshire, England. Circa 1886. The pattern name is "Alaska". This teapot was listed in The Antiques Journal of August 1977. The clipping of this article is included with the teapot. Impressive size, 8 1/2" to finial top, handle to spout tip is 9". In sturdy good condition, general crazing commerates with age. Nice addition to your transferware or teapot collection.
