Very hard to find, all original,1886, antique (THE) C. S. Bell & Co. Hillsboro O. no. 4, Church, school, Farm dinner bell in very good condition. Very hard to find the No. 4 bells anyway and then you have the original no. 4 stands,that go with them, that is a rarity but I noticed on the Yoke, on this one and it has ( THE ) C. S. Bell & Co. I have sold and seen lots of bells and this is the first one to have ( THE ) on the Yoke. The bell and yoke measures in the neighbor hood of 85 lbs. and the cast iron stands, tips the scales around 105 or 110lbs. Measuring the bell across the bottom is 29 inches diameter, from the bottom of the the bell to the top of the yoke is 17 inches tall. Has a number ( 4 ) molded on top of the bell itself. On the inside of the cast iron stands is ( No. 4 Upright 1886 ) only minor thing is a small piece of the bell ringer was broken off and someone welded a another piece on the end for a rope pull. If the winning bidder wants me to put another original rope puller on the end, I think, I can do that but that would have to be discussed with winning bidder. The number 4 bells are considered to be the loudest bells in some litature that i read, but for sure this one is very loud and will wake up neighbors at night, if they live within a mile away.
